Row 44 has launched a new wireless video-on-demand (VoD) service available to any commercial airline—with or without broadband-equipped aircraft—accessible to passengers through their own Wi-Fi enabled devices. The service provides access on-demand movies, TV episodes, and bookable destination services from Row 44’s content library, updated via Wi-Fi.
Row 44 chief sales officer Travis Christ said, "Uncoupling Row 44's video-on-demand solution from our inflight broadband entertainment platform means that even an airline not yet ready to commit to broadband connectivity can still offer passengers a personalized inflight entertainment experience, delivered right to their own Wi-Fi devices."
