LAN Airlines in late 2012 will become the first airline in Latin America to incorporate a Boeing 787 Dreamliner into its fleet . It expects to receive a total of 32 787s over10 years, an investment it values at $3.5 billion.
The 787 will land in Chile for the first time March 27, for the International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE).
“During the fair, LAN will have an interactive stand designed especially so that the public can interact with some of the features that this new aircraft offers, and be able to see what it will be like inside the LAN cabin, and which routes the aircraft will first fly within the network of destinations offered by LAN,” the carrier said.
