Gulf Air will be transporting over 15,000 kgs of cargo material that are required by the F1 teams for the upcoming 2012 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix being held from 20 to 22 April.

Gulf Air Senior Manager, Rory Black said, “We are glad to be carrying the F1 cargo for the Bahrain Grand Prix, which is the biggest motorsport sport event in Bahrain.
Carrying over 15,000 kgs of F1 material is a big responsibility and we have ensured all logistics are in place to transport safely and securely and deliver the cargo to the F1 teams in time for the race.
“Having transported and delivered F1 shipments successfully in the past, Gulf Air was the carrier of choice once again this year by the logistics team handling all shipments for the Grand Prix.  Gulf Air is proud to be a part of this global event and making the 2012 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix a grand success.”
The cargo consists of a number of parts that are required by the individual F1 teams throughout the circuit and are restocked during the season with different needed parts; these are the items Gulf Air will be carrying as well as some marketing material. The airline has been the title sponsor of the Bahrain Grand Prix races since its inception 2004.
