BA’s CityFlyer firms up one E-190 option

British Airways (BA) has committed to another Embraer E-190, increasing the number of E-Jets it has on order to 14, comprising six E-170s and eight E-190s. The aircraft will be operated by London City-based regional subsidiary BA CityFlyer. Delivery is expected in the third quarter.
The additional aircraft will be configured in a 98-seat, single-class layout.
BA CityFlyer managing director Peter Simpson said the deal will “enable us to open up new flying possibilities to popular leisure destinations.”
