Bolivia’s BoA passenger traffic up 30.5% in 2011, to launch new routes


Bolivia state-owned Boliviana de Aviación (BoA) announced that passenger traffic grew 30.5% in 2011, up to 966,400 boarding passengers. BoA has a 49% market share of the Bolivian market.
The airline estimates it will grow 12% this year. In addition to its two international destinations—Buenos Aires and São Paulo—the carrier plans to introduce services to Havana, Caracas, Panama City and a non-disclosed US destination this year. Lima will be reintroduced into the network by mid-year.
