The first Boeing 787 Dreamliner to be assembled at the company’s Charleston, S.C. production facility will be rolled out Friday . A Boeing representative confirmed that the customer is Air India.
Boeing opened the 642,720 sq. ft. Charleston second assembly building in June.
Boeing CEO Jim McNerney told The Post and Courier earlier this week that the 787 program is on track to meet previously announced delivery goals for this year and next.
Boeing South Carolina VP and GM Jack Jones and Boeing Commercial Airplanes president and CEO Jim Albaugh will attend Friday’s ceremony.
