GCAS offers additional IATA courses


The Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies GCAS has announced a new series of IATA training courses covering a wide range of topics at the Centre at Al Bateen airport in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Among course planned over the next month are:
23rd to 25th April: IATA - ISAGO for Ground Service Providers course
6th to 10th May IATA – Aircraft Weight & Balance course which is an all-encompassing course for newcomers to the field of load control.
GCAS is also running ACI recognised courses and on  15th to 19th April it is providing and ACI - Apron Management course .
This basic course provides essential guidance to support airport managers and staff in implementing effective Apron Management Policies and Procedures which will control hazards, reduce costs and lead to a better working environment for all apron users.

 GCAS also announced this week that it  has signed an MoU with the Abu Dhabi Police for cooperation and coordination between the two organisations to develop human resources specialized in aviation.
Colonel Khamis Musabbah Al Marar, acting Director General of Security and Ports Affairs of Abu Dhabi Police and Dr. Othman Mohammed Al Khouri, VP HR & Administration, ADAC and General Manager, GCAS signed the MoU at GCAS.
 
The MoU aims at enhancing performance in the fields of civil aviation security and safety, said Al Marar, adding that two parties shall organize training programs in many fields including airports security and civil aviation security, cargo and public safety, emergency response and planning.
 
The MoU shall also include training programs in customer service and customer satisfaction.
